Joining an App

This guide walks you through the process of joining a ToolChat coaching app.

How to Join

Invitation Method

Most coaching apps require an invitation:

  1. Receive invitation email from the coach/organization
  2. Click the invitation link in the email
  3. Create your account (email & password)
  4. Complete payment (if required)
  5. Access your dashboard

Direct Signup (If Available)

Some apps allow direct signup:

  1. Visit the app's signup page
  2. Choose your membership tier
  3. Create your account
  4. Complete payment
  5. Access your dashboard

Creating Your Account

Required Information

  • Email address - Used for login and notifications
  • Password - Minimum 8 characters recommended
  • Name - How you'll appear in the community

Email Verification

After signing up:

  1. Check your inbox for a verification email
  2. Click the verification link
  3. Your account is now verified

Check Spam

If you don't see the email, check your spam/junk folder.

Payment & Subscription

Payment Methods

We accept:

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • Debit cards
  • Some regions support additional methods

Secure Checkout

Payment is processed securely through Stripe. ToolChat never stores your full card details.

After Joining

Your Dashboard

Once joined, you'll see your main dashboard with:

  • Quick access to AI Chat
  • Your courses (if available)
  • Community activity
  1. Update your profile - Add a photo and bio
  2. Explore AI Chat - Ask your first question
  3. Check the Classroom - Browse available courses
  4. Join the Community - Introduce yourself

Managing Your Membership

Viewing Your Subscription

  1. Click your profile (bottom of sidebar)
  2. Go to Account Settings
  3. View Subscription section

Changing Plans

To upgrade or change tiers:

  1. Go to Account Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select new tier
  4. Confirm the change

Proration

When upgrading, you'll be charged a prorated amount. When downgrading, credit is applied to your next bill.

Cancelling

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Go to Account Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation

After cancelling:

  • Access continues until the end of your billing period
  • You won't be charged again
  • You can resubscribe anytime

Troubleshooting

Can't Find Invitation Email

  1. Check spam/junk folder
  2. Search for the coach/organization name
  3. Ask the coach to resend
  4. Check if email address is correct

Payment Failed

  1. Verify card details are correct
  2. Ensure sufficient funds
  3. Try a different payment method
  4. Contact your bank if issues persist

Access Not Working

  1. Verify payment completed successfully
  2. Try logging out and back in
  3. Clear browser cache
  4. Contact support if still not working
