AI Chat is the flagship feature of ToolChat—intelligent conversational AI with artifact generation and tool capabilities.
Overview
AI Chat provides:
- 24/7 AI coaching assistance
- Responses informed by your knowledge base
- Artifact generation (documents, code, apps)
- Multiple AI model options (including Claude 4.6 Sonnet)
- File uploads — images, PDFs, and audio (auto-transcribed)
- Persistent conversation history
- Custom conversation starters
How It Works
Member Question → Knowledge Retrieval → AI Processing → Response + Artifacts- Member sends a message
- System searches relevant knowledge base content
- AI combines knowledge with agent instructions
- Member receives contextual response with optional artifacts

Fine Tune — Click any agent response to quickly patch instructions without leaving the chat. Shows diff preview before applying.

- Select an AI agent
- Type your message or use a conversation starter
- Receive AI response

- PDFs — Upload PDFs for the AI to read and reference
- Audio — Upload audio files; they're automatically transcribed and sent as text
- Artifacts — View and edit generated content

Upload Progress
File uploads show a ChatGPT-style progress ring while uploading. Pending files appear as chips below the compose bar until they finish uploading and are ready to send.
