Skills & Game Plans

Beta Feature

The skills system is new and under active development. Behavior may change as we refine it.

Skills are the heart of the new agent model. A skill is a specialist personality and set of instructions your one agent can become on demand. Instead of building separate agents for "offer creation," "sales scripts," and "content," you author those as skills — and the agent switches into the right one for each request.

Why skills instead of multiple agents?

Members only ever see one agent. When they ask for something a skill covers, the agent activates that skill behind the scenes — adopting its instructions (and optionally a different model) for that part of the conversation. Less for members to learn, less for you to maintain.

Where to author skills

Go to Admin → Skills (/admin/skills), or click the Skills node on the Agent Builder brain canvas.

  • The left panel lists your skills with a search box and New Skill button. Draft (unpublished) skills show a badge.
  • The center panel is the editor for the selected skill — New Skill or Edit Skill.
  • The Builder button in the header opens the AI Builder co-pilot, which can draft a skill for you from your knowledge base.

Writing good skill instructions

Skill instructions are where your real methodology lives. Because the agent adopts them only while the skill is active, you can be detailed and specific:

You are running the Offer Builder skill.

Goal: help the member craft a compelling offer in 4 steps.

Step 1 — Clarify the audience and the transformation.
Step 2 — Draft the core promise.
Step 3 — Build the offer stack and pricing.
Step 4 — Write the sales-page headline and bullets.

Always search the knowledge base for the coach's offer frameworks
before drafting. Keep the tone direct and encouraging.

Pair skills with the knowledge base

Skills define the process; the Knowledge Base supplies the reference material. Tell your skill to search the knowledge base for your frameworks instead of pasting them into the instructions.

Game Plans (multi-step workflows)

A Game Plan is a skill that runs as a guided, multi-step workflow with visible progress — perfect for structured deliverables like a launch plan or a 90-day roadmap.

To turn a skill into a Game Plan, enable Gameplan Mode in the skill editor. This reveals Gameplan Settings:

SettingDescription
Button LabelThe call-to-action members see to start the plan
PhasesThe ordered steps. Each phase has a name, a section key, a description, and a prompt fragment that guides the agent for that step.
Reset to defaultRestores the default button and phases
Funnel CTA (optional)Trial/install labels and URLs surfaced at the end of the plan

When a member runs a Game Plan, the agent works through the phases in order and shows progress in a Game Plan panel beside the chat.

Availability

Game Plan mode is currently enabled for select org types. If you don't see Gameplan Mode in the skill editor, your app is configured for standard (single-step) skills.

"Plays" are now Game Plans

Earlier versions had a separate "plays" concept for chaining skills. That's been folded into Game Plans — author a gameplan skill with phases instead of wiring up separate plays.

How members use skills

Members activate skills inside any chat, in three ways:

  1. Available Skills — a button in the chat that lists the skills their tier can use
  2. Slash command — typing / opens a quick picker to launch a skill without sending a message
  3. Automatically — the agent can activate a matching skill itself when a request fits

When a skill is active, members see a small banner on the agent's replies indicating which specialist is responding. The agent returns to its base personality when the skill ends.

See the member-facing guide: Skills & Game Plans (for members).

Publishing & access

  • A skill is hidden until its Published switch is on.
  • Tier Access controls which members can activate it. Empty means everyone with AI Chat access can use it.
  • Editing a published skill takes effect on the next activation — members don't need to refresh.

Connect a skill to your public page

You can choose a Gameplan Skill to run on your Public Page / Virtual Coach so anonymous visitors experience a guided plan before signing up.
