Creating Tiers
Billing Not Yet Active
Billing and payment features are currently in development and not yet live. You can create and configure tiers, but payment processing is not yet enabled. You will be notified when billing features are ready to use.
Tiers define what features your members can access and how much they pay. This guide covers everything you need to know about setting up effective pricing tiers.
Understanding Tiers
A tier is a subscription level that includes:
- Pricing (monthly and/or yearly)
- Feature access (which parts of your app members can use)
- Positioning (where it fits in your offering)
Creating Your First Tier
- Go to Admin → Tiers
- Click Create Tier
- Fill in the tier details
Required Fields
| Field | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Name | What members see | "Pro Membership" |
| Description | Brief description | "Full access to all coaching tools" |
| Monthly Price | Monthly subscription cost | $49 |
| Yearly Price | Annual subscription cost | $399 |
Feature Access
Toggle which features this tier includes:
- AI Chat — Access to AI agents
- Community — Access to message board and DMs
- Classroom — Access to courses and content
- Guest Agent Sharing — Allow members to create and share personal agents via public links
Guest Rate Limits
When Guest Agent Sharing is enabled, you can control how many messages each guest can send to shared agents:
| Setting | Description | Options |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Msgs / Guest | Max messages a single guest can send per day | 5, 10, 20, 50, Unlimited |
| Monthly Msgs / Guest | Max messages a single guest can send per month | 20, 50, 100, 500, Unlimited |
These limits are enforced per individual guest (tracked by account and IP address). When a guest hits their limit, they see a friendly message explaining when they can chat again. Limits reset at midnight (daily) and on the 1st of each month (monthly).
Cost Control
Guest rate limits help prevent runaway AI costs from popular shared agents. Start with conservative limits (e.g., 20 daily / 100 monthly) and increase based on usage patterns.

Example:
- Monthly: $49/month = $588/year
- Yearly: $399/year (save $189 = 32% off)
Sweet Spot
A yearly discount equivalent to "2 months free" (16.7% off) is a proven formula.

Price Changes
Changing prices only affects new subscribers. Existing members keep their current rate until they cancel and resubscribe.
Tier Best Practices
Naming
- Use aspirational names ("Pro", "Growth", "VIP")
- Keep names short and memorable
- Avoid generic names ("Tier 1", "Plan A")
Pricing
- Research competitor pricing
- Start higher than you think (easier to lower than raise)
- Price based on value, not cost
- Consider your target customer's budget
Differentiation
- Make the difference between tiers clear
- Lead feature should be obvious
- Don't create too many tiers (3 max recommended)
Display Order
Tiers display in the order you create them. Consider:
- Showing cheapest first (ascending)
- Showing most popular first (highlight middle tier)
- Showing most expensive first (anchoring effect)

Q: What if I want usage-based limits? A: This feature is coming soon. For now, all access within a tier is unlimited.
Q: How do refunds work? A: Handle refunds through your Stripe dashboard. Subscription status updates automatically.
