Overview

Community includes:

• Direct Messages — Private 1:1 and group conversations with emoji reactions, GIFs, and voice memos
• Message Board — Discussion posts with topics, comments, emoji reactions, and video embeds
• Announcement Banners — Owners can broadcast board posts as dismissible banners across the app
• Member Directory — See who's in the community
• Events Calendar — Upcoming events, meetings, and workshops (accessible from the sidebar)

Direct Messages

Full-featured messaging between members.

1:1 Conversations

• Start private chats with any member
• Real-time message delivery
• See when messages are read
• Search conversation history

Group Chats

Create group conversations for teams or topics:

• Custom group names and avatars
• Add or remove participants
• Admin controls for group owners
• Pin important messages

Tier-Linked Groups

Owners can create groups that auto-sync membership with tiers:

• Members are automatically added when they join a tier
• Members are removed when they leave a tier
• Great for tier-specific announcements or discussions

Message Board

Discussion forum for the whole community.

For Members

• Create posts with topic selection (text, images, files)
• Comment on posts with emoji reactions, attachments, and voice memos
• React with WhatsApp-style emoji reactions
• Share wins and questions
• Auto-embedded YouTube, Vimeo, and Loom videos in posts

For Owners

• Post announcements
• Broadcast announcements as banners — Promote any board post to a dismissible banner that appears at the top of every page (see below)
• Pin important content
• Moderate discussions (edit, delete posts and comments)
• Set community guidelines
• Force topic selection when posting from "All Topics"

Announcement Banners

Owners and admins can broadcast community board posts as dismissible banners that appear at the top of every page in the app.

Creating an Announcement Banner

1. In the community board compose bar, click the Megaphone button
2. The Announcement Editor opens with fields for topic, title, and message
3. Optionally target specific tiers (or broadcast to all)
4. Set an optional expiration date
5. Publish — the banner appears immediately for all targeted members

How Banners Work

• Banners appear as a blue pill at the top of the page
• Members can dismiss banners individually
• Clicking a banner navigates to the full thread detail page
• Banners auto-expire if an expiration date is set
• Only owners and admins can create announcement banners

View community members:

• Names and photos
• Public profiles
• Search and filter members

Events Calendar

Shared calendar for the community:

• Upcoming events and meetings
• RSVP to events
• See who's attending
• Integration with video meetings

Access Control

Community access is controlled by tier:

• Enable/disable per tier
• Tier-linked groups respect membership
